James "Red" Scott
Memorial Scholarship | $250 Award
Mr. James "Red" Scott was a well-respected local fireman, but also a firm believer in higher education.
Eligibility Requirements
1. Must be a student of Yazoo City/County public schools or a current member of a FN Soarers Basketball Team.
2. Must be planning to attend a college or university in Mississippi or Texas.
3. Must submit a written statement and brief introduction video explaining future goals and aspirations.
4. Must complete application by May 1st.

Rev. Harry Earl Scott
Memorial Scholarship | $500 Award

Rev. Harry Scott was a notable minister, psalmist, and musician from a very young age, utilizing the piano and keyboard to melodically display the tapestry of his soul. Harry attended Tufts University—an ivy league institution in Boston, MA and would later graduate with a degree in Political Science (Class of 1974).
Eligibility Requirements
1. Must be a graduating senior from a Yazoo City.County public school.
2. Must be planning to major in MUSIC or POLITICAL SCIENCE.
3. Must submit a written statement and brief introduction video explaining future goals and aspirations.
4. Must complete application by May 1st.
