About Us

Fannie’s Nest is a Mississippi-based (501c3) nonprofit organization and ministry founded during the summer of 2015 by a group of cousins who were interested in carrying out the legacy of “Communities with Christian unity” instilled by their grandmother, the late Fannie Lee Jones Scott. Fannie was the mother of 12 children, and motherlike figure to several other children in the community of Yazoo City, Mississippi. She also served as a devoted choir leader of Tulane Missionary Baptist Church in Yazoo City for many years until her untimely passing to be with the Lord in 1996.
